UCB CANADA NEWS FLASH!!! URGENT … We only have until the 25th of Sept, 2008 to get our letters of support into the CRTC so time is of the essence …PLEASE respond ASAP! Why have we applied for a Broadcast Licence in London and why is it important? The approval for this licence is important to UCB Canada as it will allow us to increase our listenership in a region that is quite familiar to the Chatham area and will give UCB Canada a huge presence in South Western Ontario. It will also allow us to make our programming available to small towns and communities in the area that could never afford to have their own local 24/7 Christian formatted station. In other words if your community would like Christian radio, this licence will give you high quality Christian music and spoken word programs. What should you do? Send an electronic letter of support ( as per below) and IMPORTANTLY tell as many friends as you think might be interested ( wherever they are in Canada) that if they want this they should also send a letter of support. Can you make a difference? YES! Because of the letters of support we received from Belleville and Chatham the CRTC approved those applications…they listened to the local people…they will listen to you! … Please send a letter of support. More Info? No problem, email me. My name is Garry Quinn and I'm the General Manager of New Projects here at UCB Canada. Email: gq@ucbcanada.com We have only been able to have Christian radio in Canada since 1994 …..if we don't tell the government we want to have it they'll give the opportunities to other groups that do.
