His role within UCB International has been to help develop the various affiliate members so that they can fulfil what they believe their mandate is within their region.

Melanie Linn
Music Director; Late Night Host, Weeknights 10-midnight
Melanie is a native of the Quinte area – a farmer’s daughter born and raised near Stirling. After 20 years as a missionary / counsellor in Eastern Europe, the States and downtown Toronto, Melanie returned to small town living just in time to catch the wave of Christian radio in Quinte with 102.3. “Even though God is ever-present through His Spirit, people who are alone and lonely often believe the lie that no one cares – particularly in the night,” says Melanie. “Radio has the capacity to reach into those lonely places and assure individuals of the love of God and His people.” In addition to Mel's role as Music Director, she offers her company to you every weeknight from 10-midnight or you can contact her at m.linn@ucbcanada.com.
Useless fact: Melanie’s greatest claim to fame is her ability to collect eggs faster than anyone she knows (her sister would argue) – “like riding a bike, you never forget!”

What drew her to James was that he loves people and God with a passion and has been able to break through many lives with grace, love, serving and patience including her own.

Useless fact: Pam met James the month of her 16th birthday and knew at 17 he was the man she would marry.

Cork Hannah
Shipping and Delivery
Cork’s given name at birth was Angus, named after his dad and grandfather, which makes him Angus Hannah the third. The name Angus did not last long as his parents began calling him a “corker.” We are not sure what a “corker” is but the Webster dictionary definition is “something that closes a discussion, hence something astonishing. Well, we could describe Cork as an astonishing person! Cork is married to Judy and they have one son, David, and a daughter-in-law, Amy. Cork and Judy attend Parkdale Baptist Church where they are involved in adult ministries. Cork has been part of UCB Canada since the beginning of time. He was praying, painting and putting up drywall before the doors even opened and has been sharing from his servant heart ever since. He is responsible for shipping and receiving but everyone knows he really runs the place. What does the UCB staff love about Cork? His sense of humour, his servant attitude, his work ethic, but mostly the “goodies” he brings in every week. His interests: gardening in the summer, camping at Algonquin Park, and READING and READING!
Useless fact: Cork is the staff member who drove Sharon Osvald to emergency to get the fish hook removed from her finger.

Anita Geertsma
Host of "KidZone"; Traffic Manager
Anita has been a part of UCB Canada for a long time - first as a dedicated volunteer. Kid Zone was birthed from a thought Anita had when UCB Canada went to air. She felt that kids needed a time slot on the radio too - and that we needed to hear kids singing on air. Anita has been hosting Kid Zone for almost two years, first with Trish Long and now with her co-host Virginia. They have a great time together getting ready for each show and wondering what they should share with their listeners each day. She is amazed how many adults tune in as well. Anita has been married to Mark for over 22 years and has one daughter Amy, who is the joy of their lives. They have a black lab named Max who is a year old.
Useless fact: Anita will do almost anything for red “nibs” licorice.

Brad was born in Brampton, Ontario and moved to Belleville, which he loves, when he was eight. He has been married to his lovely wife Amanda (also known baby-doll) for four years. Bob Morris
Co-host of "The Edge"
For the past few years Bob has considered it his privilege to work along with Bruce Mackay as he “pilots” the ship called “The Edge”. With Bruce at the controls, Bob is free to make comments, suggest topics, take a stab at some humour and keep “Mixmaster B-Mac” from being too lonely. Recently Steve Heidt joined the team giving Bob the job of being the “steadying influence” on the show. Bob considers serving with Bruce and Steve one of the best experiences of his life.
Useless fact: Bob was with Bruce Mackay when they bumped into CARMEN at a convenience store…and he did not recognize him.

Steve Heidt
Co-Host of "The Edge"
Steve Heidt is the latest addition to the "The Edge". Steve has always been a huge fan of Bruce and Bob on the "The Edge" and initially Steve was just one of the legion of Edge Show fans. Steve would often call in with a Downtown Belleville traffic report, or a Caribbean Hurricane report, or even just to back up comments by Bob and Bruce with the greatest website of all time - Wikipedia. After a while Steve just started showing up at the station and the rest, as they say, is history.

Useless fact: Steve is a whiz at Minesweeper, is fluent in JavaScript as well as Klingon, edits Wikipedia, has a sweet MySpace and collects fanny packs.

Most treasured gift: the Christmas Rubber Ball that no one stole!
