THE UCB TEAM
James Hunt
Chief Operating Officer
Born in South Africa, James studied at the University of Natal to gain his Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Psychology and Geography, and then went on to gain a Postgraduate diploma in Education. James ran his own Training and Management consultancy business, before moving to the UK in 1997 where he held a variety of roles in AMP, one being Head of Capability Development.

Prior to joining UCB International in 2005, James was in fulltime ministry, pastoring a church in the UK. Before coming to Canada this January, James served as Vice President of Corporate Development for UCB International. From his early career as a secondary school teacher and a lecturer in Residential Childcare, James has become a highly effective development consultant for businesses. His role within UCB International has been to help develop the various affiliate members so that they can fulfil what they believe their mandate is within their region.

James is married to Pam Hunt and they have two children and many pets.

Useless fact: James speaks Zulu and Afrikaans. He also loves the outdoors.

Kevin Stenhouse has been at UCB since the beginning as a volunteer and joined the team "full time" in September 2007, as our Promotions Manager and co-host with Anita of Rise & Shine. He is also on staff at the Prince Edward County Free Methodist Church. Kevin was born in Montreal and has been married to Karen for fifteen years. Kevin and Karen have three children: Alison, Claire and Iain. His favourite scripture is Hebrews 13:20-21 and the accomplishment that he is most proud of is being a chaplain at Ground Zero to the 9/11 rescue workers.

Pam Hunt
Finance Manager
Pam grew up in Durban, South Africa. After studying in Food and Clothing Technology, specializing in Financial Management, Pam initially entered a career in catering and hospitality services. After a number of years the financial aspects of running large catering departments became more challenging and she branched out into the accounting field.

While in the UK Pam worked in management accounts and bookkeeping and the last few years she worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants managing a number of clients for the firm. Pam, who is married to James Hunt, arrived here at UCB Canada this January. They have two children, 15-year-old Cara (meaning beloved friend) and 13-year-old Mathew, (meaning gift from God). She is English but speaks Afrikaans as well. James is Pam’s childhood sweetheart. What drew her to James was that he loves people and God with a passion and has been able to break through many lives with grace, love, serving and patience including her own.

Useless fact: Pam met James the month of her 16th birthday and knew at 17 he was the man she would marry.

Melanie Linn
Midday Host 9am-2pm
Melanie is a native of the Quinte area – a farmer’s daughter born and raised near Stirling. After 20 years as a missionary / counsellor in Eastern Europe, the States and downtown Toronto, Melanie returned to small town living just in time to catch the wave of Christian radio in Quinte with 102.3. “Even though God is ever-present through His Spirit, people who are alone and lonely often believe the lie that no one cares – particularly in the night,” says Melanie. “Radio has the capacity to reach into those lonely places and assure individuals of the love of God and His people.” You can contact her at m.linn@ucbcanada.com.
Useless fact: Melanie’s greatest claim to fame is her ability to collect eggs faster than anyone she knows (her sister would argue) – “like riding a bike, you never forget!”

Brad Linnard
Production Manager
Brad (also known as baby-genius) has been UCB Canada’s production manager since we went to air and is loved by all the staff because he makes us sound “good” on the radio. Brad has also been the co-owner of Lineage Studios for a little more than five years which he does in his “not so spare” time. Brad was born in Brampton, Ontario and moved to Belleville, which he loves, when he was eight. He has been married to his lovely wife Amanda (also known baby-doll) for four years. Brad and Amanda have a pet rabbit, two fish and a cat.
Useless fact: Brad likes to play pranks on his good friend, and former UCB announcer, Jay Christie in his spare time… “Hey Jay, want a tea biscuit?”

Traffic Manager; Co-Host of "Rise & Shine"
Anita has been a part of UCB Canada for a long time - first as a dedicated volunteer, and now her biggest challenge is keeping Kev awake in the mornings! Useless fact: Anita will do almost anything for red “nibs” licorice.

Sean Belfry
Account Manager
For all advertising enquiries contact Sean.

Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Sean attended high school in Toronto and then the Photojournalism program at Loyalist College. He worked in retail management for many years with such companies as West 49 and Moores, and was once sports editor for the Journal-Argus in St. Mary’s, Ontario. He blames Elmo and Becci for how he ended up at UCB: “they told me about the opening, and God took care of the rest.” When not at UCB, Sean spends time with his wife of 13 years, Anita, and his 3 children Hayden, Mackenzie and Caleb. As well as being involved in sports, Sean is also Youth Director at New Hope Christian Fellowship in Belleville.

Useless fact: Sean has moved 28 times in his life, with the four-year stay in his current house being the longest yet. He is also a fountain of useless information.

Becci Johnstone
Marketing & Promotions
Becci was born in Wareham, Dorset, England. She went to school in New Zealand, ending up at the New Zealand Radio Training School in Wellington. She worked at many radio stations both before and after graduation from the school, going back and forth between New Zealand and the UK, but eventually settled at the Rhema Broadcasting Group in New Zealand. While at Rhema, she and Elmo met and were married. Two weeks after tying the knot, Elmo was transferred here to UCB Canada and Becci came and decided to join the team as well. Becci loves to travel to as many places as possible, and with lots of family in NZ and the UK, she has good reason to.

Useless fact: Becci can turn her eyelids inside-out. Frightening.

Annette Eastcott
The Word for You Today
Annette was born and raised in the Thunder Bay area, where she met and married her husband Dave, and they have 4 children. She has taken some accounting courses at Loyalist College. Before UCB, she was the part time office assistant at Hastings Park Bible Church. She had heard a plea for volunteers on the UCB station and felt God was leading her to call. At the time she was looking for full time employment and thought she could volunteer temporarily until she found something. After a week of volunteering they hired her, it turned out there was an opening in The Word for You Today Department just as she was coming in. The timing was perfect, which shows God is definitely in control. She is grateful that she did not ignore this nudge from Him.

Useless fact: Annette loves chocolate and she likes to polka.

Susan Roffel
Night host 7pm-midnight
Susan was born and raised in Toronto. At 6 years old she gave her heart to Jesus while kneeling at the bass drum at a Salvation Army open air service. Growing up in the Salvation Army gave Susan a passion for "practical Christianity" and music is also an integral part of her life and service. Susan lived in Ottawa for ten years where she became involved in community television and local news reporting and in 1999 her family moved to Barrie where her husband Bob was an associate pastor in the Free Methodist Church while she was involved with a local radio station as a morning announcer. In 2006 they moved into the neighborhood where Bob grew up, just 6 doors from his parents . They have four children, a dog they 'time-share' with his folks and a mom all living under one roof.
Useless facts: Susan’s favourite beverage is Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino®, she is NOT allowed to make popcorn and she used to live in the same house as Kevin Kay!
