“The Winter Festival will be a wonderful way to celebrate the season and showcase Cobourg’s many local amenities,” said Councillor Adam Bureau, Coordinator of Arts, Culture and Tourism for the Town of Cobourg. “I encourage you to join us on March 5th, bring your family and friends, and be welcomed by our local stores and eateries.”

The Town of Cobourg’s Winter Festival will provide activities that are both indoors and outdoors for all ages to enjoy. Each activity is free and will feature a variety of experiences from skating to ice carving demonstrations, local shopping, dining out and even live music.

The Winter Festival program aims to provide local opportunities for residents to participate in programming designed to promote Cobourg and generate positive local economic impact for the community.

Cobourg’s Winter Festival activities and events include:

  • Public Skating from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D'Arcy St, Cobourg ...Enjoy the indoor arena and skate with special guests from the Cobourg Cougars. DJ Kevin will be spinning tunes for all to enjoy.

  • QR code vaccine certificate (digital or printed copy) plus a valid government issued ID must be presented to enter the Cobourg Community Centre for anyone 12 years of age and older. Visit Ontario.ca/get-proof to download and/or print your QR code.

  • Live Ice Carving Demonstration, starting at 10 a.m. Rotary Harbourfront Park, 37 Albert Street, Cobourg. ...Richard Reinelt of Festive Ice Sculptures will be bringing his world of ice to life right here in the Town of Cobourg. A display of owls, deer and polar bears will be on display in the Rotary Harbourfront Park and along King Street.
  • Rotary Harbourfront Outdoor Skating Rink, 37 Albert Street, Cobourg, open 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. (weather permitting). ...Lace up and skate the day away on the outdoor skating rink located in the Rotary Harbourfront Park.
