UCB Canada is the fastest growing Christian radio network in Canada reaching over 1.5 Million people through FM frequencies as well as all of Canada via internet radio.
Every day, hundreds of thousands of people turn to UCB for hope, encouragement and daily inspiration. God has given UCB Media the mission to bring Jesus’s hope through positive, Christ-centered music and inspiration so people can live fulfilling lives, changing their communities and our nation.
Twenty years ago, our vision was born: “Christian Radio for Every Canadian.” We have vast experience through launching eight stations and four frequencies that repeat the signal. Our vision has grown with technological advancements to include online, email, social media, as well as the Word in print. By spreading God’s Word through media, we are building hope in our communities, evangelizing, encouraging, and uplifting people right where they are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Today, we want to “Ignite Hope in Canada through Christian Radio,” and are the ONLY Christian broadcasting network in Canada with a vision to see every Canadian reached with the message of hope, from coast to coast.
UCB Radio is mainly funded through donations from our incredible supporters. If you would like to get involved in keeping Christian Radio in Medicine Hat please consider making a donation today.
Olivia was ready to end it all. Life was too hard. She would be lying if she hadn’t thought to commit the unthinkable. But she was hopeless. “Brighter days are coming,” a school staff member said as Olivia left the school. She didn’t believe her. She didn’t want to believe her...Olivia got in her car and turned on UCB Radio. And wouldn’t you know it? The song “Brighter Days” was playing! Olivia couldn’t believe it. Through the song, God spoke the words she needed to hear to jog her out of her dark thoughts and give her hope. Thanks to the right song at the right time Olivia is many days “suicide-attempt free.” Every day isn’t easy, but Olivia has a renewed faith and believes that brighter days will come.
You know that life has its challenges. Many Canadians feel alone and discouraged. By international standards, Canada is rich and technologically advanced. But scratch the surface of material comfort, and a different picture quickly emerges. Sometimes no scratching is even required. Canada has become one of the most secular nations in the world, and its people are desperately hurting. A quick snapshot of our nation’s statistics demonstrates to you that Canadians have misplaced their hope.
There has never been a time where bringing the hope of Jesus to Canadians is needed more than it is today. For many radio listeners, hope in Jesus is found on the UCB airways like a single candle during the night. It gives light for them to continue on and find the way out of the darkness. We believe hope in Jesus can transform Canada. We believe hope in Jesus can transform Medicine Hat.
Hope isn’t rational. Hope doesn’t make sense. But when your hope is in Jesus it redefines what is probable and opens the paths to the impossible. Hope sees beyond the obvious. Hope in Jesus lifts your eyes. Hope in Jesus brings goodness and lets you see/ imagine what could be. Canadians from coast to coast need hope.
